open up an image. mine is 400X200. set a gradient in your forground. angle 0 repeats 0. fill your image. . select the pen tool set to line mode and set the line width to 85.00. draw a straight line across the image position it and reduce the opacity until you get the 'glassy' effect. buttonize and add some text for extra effectiveness and that's about it. here's where you can find the link to the Photoshop and elements downloads. I'd try out Elements first before Photoshop though, which is kind of a simpler version of PS. Photoshopand here's where you can find the psp download. pspif you have any problems finding the downloads and stuff, just post in one of the above threads, and i'll try and help out.

thanks Michael. when you asked about the font i tried it out to see if it was italic or not and it came out exactly as you see it in my sig. I had the green set as my background and a black to transparent gradient set in my forground box. this created a very glassy effect quite by chance, so i save the text and used it later on to make the sig

Thanks, Michael Yeah. I kinda buttonized it. Matt, with that font, does it come with the lines around it, or is that something you did? I think it looks really neat! (the one in your siggy, that is)

(the one in your siggy, that is) that's what it's like. the text remains transparent and only the border is filled with the colur set in the background. it's a pretty nifty font imo

Wow.... that's amazing...
Bad news: I have Dial-Up. And you know Dial-Up means long downloads. Well, PSP9 and Elements would've taken about 7-9 hours to download. lol. I think I'd have to buy it if I wanted to use it. But I'll just fantasize and think Paint is a lot better than PSP9 and Elements. lol. ;D

Michael: Do you live in the States? I could always download them both, burn them to a CD, and mail it...

Pffft, I download stuff all the time. And I'm at a 6MB broadband connection: it'll take longer to burn and place in an envelope than it will to download. Really, it's no problem. I can send it out in Monday's mail. Just PM me your address, and I'll ship it out.
EDIT: Wow. Surprisingly, the PhotoShop CS Demo is about 75MB smaller than Elements. Go figure.
