You just love to make things complicated don't you Mikey? It's just as well that I am out of the graphics business now but I want to say that "Every rose has it's thorns." I say that all the time!

Nya have you seen some of the disasters that I have entered? Your style is very much like what I wish that I was able to do. I think that the things that some of the others do are simply amazing but I really like clean and simple best. Everyone is in awe of M@'s graphics but honestly the only ones that I really like enough to want to have are the simpler ones that he does. . . like the cats and bugboy and this rose one of his. . which is kind of a departure from his normal style. My most favorite artists are children because of the simplicity of their drawings. Picasso is probably my favorite of the famous artists followed by Peter Maxx who many say doesn't count because all his stuff was so commercial and I also love Thomas Kincaid and Mary Engelbriet. . . two other commercial artists because of the simplicity. You have every right to enter your works into the contests and I really meant it when I said that I look forward to seeing more of your works.

And I love your work its beautiful. And your right Thomas does have beautiful paintings. I also like Wyland's work.

Well Nya I am officially out of the graphics business so I will be just an admirer from now on. I think that you are young so you may not understand that what I said about M@'s isn't putting him down at all. He knows that we all have different tastes and I actually see his expanding a bit as evidenced by his rose siggie this week.

I think this weeks voting will be hard.

Michael
Thomas Kincaid is simple only because he doesn't try to get all fancy and show off. I am in awe of his work with light as well although most art critics sneer at his work calling it comercialized. Well Thomas Kincaid has been able to capture the dreams of home and warmth that we all want in our hearts which is where his appeal lies. Norman Rockwell also has that same type of appeal. His work was very technically done but leaves one feeling rested and easy after viewing it.

Yeah, you're right. I never thought about that before.
Norman Rockwell is AWESOME! I love the drawing he did of the man and wife and the beach... it's so amazing because he drew it from two different pictures. The guy isn't even the lady's husband.
