It's a great template. and for your first one...just makes it even more impressive! a very good job.
What i like most about it are the icons. I just love icons ! hehe. and your's are cool. you did a great job on the smilies and the post reply tags.
my only major criticism is the text on the buttons, which looks a bit crushed.

How do you get a fade effect on the blue color bar>

Gradients. In most graphics programs if you click and hold the paintbucket tool it will give you a shaded box option click that. Then change the to colours to the effect you want. Hope that helped gud luck,  . |

I'm just wondering... How do you get all of the url's to replace things like smilies and misc. icons, and menu buttons, etc.?

In the Admin panel look under Customize Your Forum and click on Skins / Forum Colors, then click on Customize Images |

I'm sorry, actually, I meant how do you get the url's for the template images from the folders so I can replace my default images?

First you need to unzip the folder. right click on the folder and select extract all. Then you need to host them. A good free host is photobucket.com/ . hope that helps |
