I didnt understand the last part sorry  however i was thinking about the layout before and ive got this plan set out for it:  However i dont know how to use tables to set this out like this. I know how to use tables using <table><tr><td><th> etc but i dont know how to make it look like this if you can help please do as it would help loads. Basically the quick links section would have direct links to the forum and blog and other sites. The nav bar will have the nav things  in it. The main part will have the main part of the page ie on the image page it will have images etc and on the home page info about the site. The heading will have the name of the page on it. And the banner section will have well a banner And finally the extra section will have anything extra i want to add So what do you think? is that an easier layout? i'm not sure if it's possible to do the main table like that without the rows and collumn conflicting. It might be possible if you use more than one table and use some method to position them. Thats perfect M@ i dont mind about the heading im not that fussy im going to have to study the html and css to understnad what to change though and there looks like theres alot of it but ill survive thanks once again im going to see if i can use it on my site . Back to the subject of graphics today i made this nice banner for my site: img516.imageshack.us/img516/3240/metallic8pg.pngi made it using Gimp and i was messing around. The font is called Atmosphere of dafont EDIT: Thanks Mike sorry i missed all the posts before M@'s. But yeh i undestand what you mean. I tried to make it look like that as its a nice effect. And Lash your little swimming dinosaur (if thats wat it is) is sooo cute. |

If you have any problems with the CSS or anything let me know. but it's pretty much the same as proboards, just different names.

ok thanks. I have a problem though already ive put the banner image into where youve said but it doesnt work it works with the heading image with the same name but tis just white with the text any ideas? |

Hmmm...you'll have to put it up on the web and post the link, because i'm not sure. hang on it's my fault. i messed up the css swap it for this .Banner { background-image: url(); background-color: #ffffff; background-repeat: no-repeat; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; } I used background: #ffffff; instead of background-color: #ffffff; oops ;D i did the same thing for the menu and cell bgs in places. so look for them and replace with background-color: #ffffff; or you can recopy the whole thing. i've updated it.  |

Yes I think so. It might just help a lot of us who are used to looking at control panels where we can see changes take place imediately. I just was given web space and there is no online editor and I can't figure out what in the name of Sam Hill I am doing! I look at that control panel and nothing makes sense to me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Bloody 'eck, I'm tired. I never realized how much of a strain it was to work on a website. Geesh! I'm glad I don't do this for a living!! lol During the last few days I subtly tweaked a few graphics on my site, and today I added the first photo gallery. There's one minor, and I mean MINOR, bug, but I don't feel like having to play around with nested iFrames to fix it...those can get too confusing too quickly, and can lead to a ton of problems. So, I think I'll leave it as it is. Hope everyone gets what they want for Christmas! ;D |

Thanks: that would be really cool. Right now, though, I've got people interested in the US, the UK, and Australia. My reasoning behind creating this site was/is to give everyone a central location to meet, and share information. Those above me are also looking at using this site to store monthly conference calls (I doubt they'll be CD quality, though), so I'm pretty pumped. So far, it's been a pretty good Christmas Season...something I haven't been able to say in, at least, 5 years. |

Wow thats good i dont know about this christmas. Its my first Christmas in my new house but the whole of my dads side of the family are meeting at our house on boxing day YAY i get to see all my lil cousins again yay. However on christmas day i hope its going to be good wiht just my family ah well merry christmas |

Well i would if i could when i find my dads cameras link cable i will. Ive got some really nice pictures of the valleys near by. They are really nice. However i cant find the cable and its time to come off now So ill look for it tomorrow and if i find it ill post some pictures up on my website. Merry Christmas once again. |
