lol Yeah, me too. I used to go through a book a day, but now I am on the computer more often than not. I used to be a really eclectic reader, but now I go through these phases and right now I'm in a romance phase. lol It's really embarrassing because people always roll their eyes at me when I tell them what I'm reading. hehe. You'd think I'd know better by now. We lived my husband's father and then with my parents for a few years, too, so I know what you mean about enjoying being on your own again. It's rough living with other people, even if you do love them. I'm sure it's a great relief to be in your own place.

Ellie shame on you! Trot your cute little rear down to Goodwill or Salvation Army or a used book store to get your romance novels. You can usually get them for less than a dime on a dollar retail. So many frustrated women two or three of those a day that many look as if they are totally brand new. At the Borders here you can even buy software for your pc or dvds or vids or lots of other things. Buy your romances cheap and save the gift cards for something more important!

LOL! But I am a very choosy romance reader! (If you can believe such a thing exsists!) hehe But I know, I know, I should spend my money on better things. I promise you, I will buy something sensible with some of my giftcard money. Does it help to know that I will be very ashamed of myself while I'm buying my books?

I am trying to avoid reformatting again. I just took all adobe software off my pc and it seems to be working better. How strange is that?
Ellie I find all of the best romance novels including many Christian ones at Goodwill all the time. I don't get out all that often but when I do go out I head for Goodwill which is only 4 blocks away. My neighbor who is 87 gets me to look for books for her. Almost all that I buy are around 50 cents and were published in the last few months. Just try going once to please me and I think that you will find that you pleased yourself too. After all, if you can get a whole big bag of books rather than just one, I think you will be very happy.
Shan what authors do you like? I like Mercedes Lackey, Elizabeth Scarbourgh, Andre Norton, and Piers Anthony to name just a few but my all time favorites are Anne MaCaffery and Connie Willis. (Connie pays me to say that LOL She lives in my neighborhood) She even wrote me into a book one time but I can't seem to talk her into writing a sequel to my favorite book of hers.
