Does this skin look ok?

Ok I am using Matty's Dark Gradients which can be found in the Premade sections on here.

Well I made images to go with it but for some reason while doing that I noticed the color was more a deep blueish purple.. Maybe its just me so I need someone to take a look and tell me if it looks bue enough and how the images look with it.

I know could go in showoff board but this is a test site not a actual site anymore.

Its look fine to me, I think the Purple/Blue buttons and such fit the rest of the skin and the board quite nicely. Very nice.

Thanks I used a bit of Nateboys Orb tut.

You dont think its bit to purple?

I tried adding blue text to bring out more of the blue color.

Any Ideas to help bring more the blue out in it?

Guess I need to do another skin from scratch huh lol oh well your welcome to play around with images if you wish to though.

I don't think you should start from scratch, just make a different banner/button set if you don't like your current one.

Those are awesome for a first attempt, keep up the good work. Like I said, I think they are great, but if you don't like them you should make new ones, but I wouldn't ditch the whole skin.

Well I still use them cause the icons look so good lol I just make a nother skin for blue.

Wow! I think it looks great! I do hope that you didn't ditch the whole skin! Salindor's right! It's wonderful! I think I might would make the text in the banner bigger... or on the inside of the ellipse of the banner, I might would put an image... maybe som fractals on a low opacity as a inside bg. You know what I mean?

It is a little TOO purple... kind of. But, at a second glance, it's just fine.

Ah, I think it's a matter of your opinion, since I can't decide. XD It's a great skin, whatever the case. Very beautifully made.

I think it is cool, Nya. I agree with Michael's suggestions as well. Also, another thing you may want to consider is making the text a bit lighter. I know some people monitors have a hard time with such close contrast when it comes to background colours and text colours.

But, I really don't think it is too purple or anything like that. I think all the colours flow well together

The on off icons look really cool. At first, I thought the highlight colour at the bottom right of the orbs needed to be toned down about, or reduced in opacity, but I still think they work, and adding more white, or light blue to the template might liven things up a bit

I agree with Shan regarding the text, and link colours. There's not enough foreground and background contrast. A useful tool is Snook's Colour Contrast Check Tool.

lol you all be happy to know I didnt ditch the skin I put it up on main site anyways but I would still like to improve on it.

Banner hmm well lol I was attempting to duplicate what Matty did on the forest skin banner but it didnt work to great lol.. Fractles... How would I add such a creature? And I am not that happy with the text on the banner really it didnt turn out to great. So I think I'll take your suggestions on that making them bigger.


I'll see what I can do about the text.

lol the icons well I was just fooling around with the options and fell in love with those lol.. But I can try that next time I do them.

I worked a bit on the links and text but this it will be bit longer till I have better look.
