Photoshop is like three times the price of Paint Shop Pro and is widely regarded to be the better program. I've had limited experience with both of these programs, so I can't really say if PS is Better than PSP or not, but I can't really see that much difference between them. Why is Photoshop better than PSP? M@

its as you say M@, Photoshop is more expensive; i've got PhotoshopCS & PSP7, i can't really see much difference between them. PS has more effects but PSP has vintage effects like 'blinds' & 'distort' that Photoshop doesn't have, so i s'pose it depends what you fancy

I prefer Photoshop CS mainly due to its interface...I find that it's a heck of a lot easier to work with layers and layer masks in PS than it is in PSP. Plus, I've got a couple of 3 rd Party Filters that only work in PS. On the flip-side, a friend of mine, who is one of the best graphic artists I've ever seen, swears by PSP. So it really comes down to which one (i.e. interface) you prefer working in.

I prefer PS over PSP mainly because I learned how to use PS. I've used PSP but the effects in Photoshop and its design is what makes me drift to PS more
