Vectors

I need help with vectors in PSP. I've always been really intimidated by them because I don't understand them, but I've decided it's time to learn. So I tried doing a couple of tutorials and I am having the hardest time. About halfway through I get stuck.

I am so frustrated that I am just not getting this! So do you know of a simple tutorial for beginners that might help?

Vectors arent those shapes that are not created by ppixels? And can be shaped to any size without being distorted....they are cool in idea but arent they limited in what you can do with them? Also the new Windows OS (Vista) Has vector icons so they dont blur when they get enlarged or shrunk

Well, vectors supposedly take the limitations off of the kinds of shapes you can make, and all of the tutorials I've found look awesome, it's just that they are confusing to me. It doesn't help that most of the basic tutorials I've run accross are for PSP7, which I do have, but am reluctant to use again. I guess I'll have to, though. Thanks for the reply, Hamster.

Theres alot about Vista i could tell you its all in the computer magazine i used to get....ive stopped now and im hoping to get a web development one soon ;D woo im happy.....could i see some of the tuts your doing Ellie cos i would like to see what your diong or atleast give it a try...

I really don't know much about editing vector objects and stuff. And i haven't done or seen any really helpful tutorials, although me and Shan did do a cool 3d cube tutorial when we first started using PSP

Hamster, here's a link to a list of some of the tutorials I've been trying: PSP Links. I don't know how different working with vectors is in GIMP. Have you tried it yet?
