Can anyone help me please?
I have been trying to make plain text menu buttons, but it's kinda hard, because of the search, calendar, and members buttons because they are so long, it just looks odd compared to the other ones. Does anyone know a good tutorial to help with text menu buttons??? Thank you!!!!

Are you talking about the ones where there is only text? Matt posted a quick tut in this tutorial. The only thing is, it's being used in MS Paint. =] If you need any help with it, or would like to request some buttons, don't hesitate to ask. ;]

Well, I can get them, but it's that the search, calendar, and members buttons usually look different from the rest. can you suggest a size that would work for all the buttons and make them look right?
example: for a forum that's width is 700. I want to create the menu buttons so that they can be one size, and be the same size font, so that they look all right. Can you suggest a size?

What I do to make Menu Buttons is right-click on default button and take the size. Now, if you're planning on using big fonts, which you should not as you want simple buttons, use the same size. But, If you want small pixel font, [I recommend Silkscreen], make the width less but MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE HEIGHT OF YOUR BUTTONS SMALLER THEN THE GRADIENTS. Example:
