I think it's a pretty good grad. It would look better if you had of saved it in a different format though. I had a close look at it and it's quite distorted. If you are using Paint you really need to save it as a PNG.
Did it turn out the way you wanted?

Well, it was the exact way I wanted it but it was pretty similar. Yeah, I used paint on it but what difference does JPEG and PNG make? Do they make the picture different?

Well, it was the exact way I wanted it but it was pretty similar. Yeah, I used paint on it but what difference does JPEG and PNG make? Do they make the picture different? In my version of Paint I have 8 saving options. Monochrome Bitmap 16 Color Bitmap 256 Color Bitmap 24-bit Bitmap JPEG GIF TIFF PNG In Paint, the only formats I can successfully save in are 24-Bitmap (bmp), PNG, and TIFF. PNG is the best format for saving web graphics, I believe, but because some older computers can't handle colours that well, most people save their web graphics as gifs, which are limited to 256 colours. I like to save all my graphics as gifs, but if an image has over 256 colours (like photographs) you are better off saving them as PNGs or bmps. what i used to do in paint was save my image as a png and then open it up in PSP and safe it as a gif. Shan pointed out to me that all I needed to do was copy the image in paint and then paste it in PSP, which is a lot quicker . If you dont have PSP or any other program that allows you to save in the gif format look for a graphics program or image editor Here. Infranview allows you to save gifs

I used the 3 steps down thing but I think I started with a too dark of a color. But that's what I got. I like the first one I posted because of the different varietys of the blues in it but I think this one is more... better. You know? I could only save it as a JPG because PhotoBucket wouldn't take anything else than that and GIF and the GIF messed up the coloring.

That is a good gradient . But it didn't save very well and some of the lines of colour seem to of merged. You should be able to save jpgs, gifs, pngs and bmps at Photobucket. Can you save as a png in your version of Paint? Like i said, if you want to save it as a gif just copy and paste your image into a graphics program or image editors that supports gif's. You can do this using IrfranView which can be downloaded for free from HereYou can Copy in Paint by selecting the area of the image with the select tool and using the keyboard shortcut 'Ctrl+C'. (or you can right click with the mouse and select copy, or go to Edit>copy, but the keyboard short cut is quicker ). Then go to Infranview and paste the copied image into the clipboard by pressing Ctrl+V (or go to File> Paste). Then save the image as you would do in Paint. To 'Save As' you can just press 'S' . you'll also get another window open up with some exrta saving options, but I have no idea how it's used, so I just ignore it ;D.

Thank you! I don't know why but everytime I try uploading a picture that isn't GIF or JPG PhotoBucket won't upload it. It says that it is an invalid whatever....

you could always try Imageshack or Tinypic. I don't know what the problem can be there

I think photobucket does say that it only uploads certain file formats...
Yeah, I just went to check and it says: Valid file types: jpg, gif, png, bmp, swf
So it HAS to be one of those. That's really weird as its never been any trouble for me.
