Pixel Freak has a very good isometric tutorial for beginners. also you might want to check out this massive Poster.
The Pixel Museum is another amazing site which houses pixel (and other) art works from around the world.
There are tons of sites on the web and I'm not gonna post them all. you'll be able to finds many more through links and stuff at these sites. One more cool site though is Electricon Land. The Electricon town is interactive and you can find freebies and stuff in the various shops
