Well, this tutorial was made for PS but I saw and was able to think of inprovisations so I could use it for PSP. It's mostly basic stuff. You should be able to do something similar in UP. You have a ripple effect on it, right? I can't remember because its been almost a year or so since I've used UP. But if so, I'll let you know how to do it.

Can a solid star shape work or does it need to be a hollow star shape?

I think it'll need to be hollow, unless you space them out. If all you have are solid, you can use the magic wand to select the star and contract by 2 pixels, invert selection, and delete. I'm not sure where the contract option would be on PS, but in PSP it's under Selections > Modify > Contract. I hope that helped, Nya. =/

Ah hmm the hard way lol I shall try it that way.
I tried it with solids and it so didnt turn out heh well least I tried it right?
