My first tutorial! I only know how to do this with GIMP, so if you want copy and paste a photoshop or paint shop picture onto GIMP. NOTE: You are expected to have some basic knowledge of GIMP. Step 1: You create a path using the create path tools. This is my path. Step 2: You write text anywhere on the picture, and then you click Text Along Path in the Text tool section. After doing that you can delete the text layer using the layers dialog (Dialogs >> Layers). Step 3: You use the Paths Dialog (which can be found at Dialogs >> Paths) and click the top path. Then you click the square shown on the picture, which is at the bottom of the dialog. Now it should look something like: Step 4: Create a new layer and brush the path using the Paintbrush or Pencil tool (Note: it doesn't matter if you stray from the selection because the Paintbrush or Pencil tool can only be used on the selection). Step 5: Now go back to the paths dialog after filling in the path that came from the text and delete both paths, or make them invisible (click the eye next to the path), and go back to the background layer and fill it in with background (Note: You will have to use Select >> All to fill the whole picture in with background, and you can fill over the text because that is a different layer). Now you created a curved text picture!
