Okay, now I have a question. I am using the blue siggy that's being displayed to make a siggy for myself... everytime I try to paste something on it the thing that is being pasted turns sort of bluish... any help on what I can do?

it sound's like it has been saved as a gif. resave it in another format and it should work.

Okay, I'll try it! Thanks! EDIT: I saved it as a .bmp but it still won't allow me to paste an image without changing the colors of the image I'm pasting.

this is what happened for me when i pasted the butterfly on the gif and png image I only managed to get it to paste without changing colour when I saved it as a bmp. i'm not sure what the problem could be.

I think the problem stems from GIFs color mode being Indexed Color. Before pasting anything onto it, change the color mode to RGB Color. This should preserve the colors that you actually see, and allow you to save it as a JPG, or any other format you wish.
EDIT: Unless you have an area that's transparent (or it's animated), you should save them as JPGs...it's smaller than GIFs, and easier to work with, as their color mode is RGB Color.

That's what happened to me each time... *talking about the first example M@ posted*. Where do I go to change it to RGB color?

Dunno: I use PhotoShop CS. You could always save it as a JPG...doing so will automatically convert it, I think.

I don't think you can do that in Paint. you only have the option of either color or black and White.
i'll have to try that out though. i always create a new layer when i'm adding to a gif. changing the mode to rbg seems like a better way of going about it.

GUESS WHAT?! After converting it to .JPG... I was able to paste and keep the colors! Thanks, LHW!
