This is one of my first sigs as this is my first time to start using Paint Shop Pro 9 but here it is: please give me your ideas and bear in mind it is my first(ish) one

does anyone no where i can get decent images/renders to put onto my sigs? most of thestyles i like are futuristic plasma electricity type things if anyone can help please help thanks EDIT: btw wat do you think of my new sig and ava: i think i can improve it sum how please tell me if i can.

Personal Opinion: Anything over 500 pix wide, and/or 250 pix high isn't a sig, and shouldn't be used as one: it's a banner.
That said, you have an interesting concept. I like how you used the inverted/negative color in the center. I think your "frames" are too drastic, though, and your "borders" don't line-up with where your images actually end. I'd recommend using a Layer Mask with a Gradient brush to blend one frame into the other, instead...possibly at a slight angle.

It's a good sig, and you've put alot of work into it , but yeah, it's a bit too big for this board. If you reduce the width by say 100px + it would be ok

i have no idea how to use masks etc im still learning and ok i will try and reduce the size of my sigs sorry bout dat im just learning but ive still got a long way to go......any help with masks will do i will make my sigs smaller. and ive never thought about doing banners infact ive never thougt about anything all of the sigs ive put up were random in my begginers stage so ill take your advice and use it

For just starting out, it's not bad at all. If you ever decide to use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, I can walk you thru using Layer Masks in about 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, I'm not very familiar with Paint Shop Pro, so I wouldn't be much help there.
