They're great, and a few of them are brilliant too. The power of dance one, for instance, hehe...I'd be realy happy if i could do something like that The alien/insect thing is great too. It look so simple but i just can't get my head around how to draw like that.

OH, WOW! Bethany, those are neat! lol... I liked the trex hiding in the bag because its obvious who he was. . . lol... and I also liked the Power Of Dance one. . . because of all the details! AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE LAST ONE! The one you drew, I mean. It's stupendous! *nods*

I love them, Bethany, they're great!!! I laughed out loud at the naked alien one, but my favorite is the dinosaur with the bag on his head. LOL

I mostly did those to amuse myself. I had little idea that anyone would actually use them for anything but the Power Of Dance one was used on some promo materials for the International Dances for Peace. The secret friend one was a lot of fun to do. I accidently inverted the colors and liked the version better than I did the white one. Rio loved the alien pic of herself and had me draw some more but I didn't keep copies of them.
Mahud, I believe that you could draw something like that if you tried. One thing I told my students was to get childrens coloring books to see how a drawing might begin and then add colors to try and create a more 3D effect. Or to put it into words that you will truely understand, use gradients. Light and dark help to create perspective and depth. Take for example your bug boy. Print it out or use paper to pencil to recreate it and then use colored pencils or chalk or oil pastels to color it in. I use Q-Tips to blend my colors where I need blending and my finger or the other things I use to blend is too big. The colored pencils I usually use are the exact same ones as are used by school children. I just bought several different brands to get a wide variety of colors. The only really "good" quality pencils I bought were in skin tones because those 12-18 pencil sets usually have this ghastly peachy pink color. The truth of skin color is that we are all most different shades of brown so that peachy pink needs to be used as highlights over a light beige for most people. Matt if you try it out, I think that you will surprise yourself. Your style may be a bit different than that of other peoples but I believe that you can draw quite well from the many differnt things I have seen you create. I remember being so sick that day you were building shell's template. But everytime I refreshed my screen you had refined your pipe thingies and some of the other graphics until it made me believe you to be a great artist. You may not have been able to draw well in the past but what you have learned doing graphics for templates will work on paper as well. Please try again now that you have more knowlege about drawing.
