I made this sig and would love feedback on it. I'm trying out new stuff and would love to know what you think of it. Please be honest. Thanks.

I absolutely love the siggy, Shan! Except for how the brown horse doesn't really look like a horse. Like... it's all irregular like, but I love it! 9/10

I like it Shan. I think it is very creative, and contains lot's of interesting elements. I know it wasn't your intention, but the horses look like cave paintings to me . I'll try and give you some pointers though, at least, i'll tell you what I'd try and do if it was my sig. First off. it's difficult when applying effects such as warp, wind, etc, that you use to intentionally distort the image, not to over distort it to the point where it becomes kind of cloudy and messy looking. I make this mistake alot, and usually, because it's something that happens gradually as you apply each effect, you don't see it until it's too late, and the only way to fix the problem is to backtrack and lose everything, even the good stuff. The wind effect can really be a problem, so I reduce the opacity quite a bit, and erase with reduced opacity quit a bit. Don't be afriad to take off as much as you need to make it look clean. If that means erasing everything, delete the effect and try something else. So, I try and find the right balance when applying distortion effects. Usually when I apply an effect there is usually little that I'll actually end up keeping; perhaps just a little bit in the corner or something, and I'll erase all the rest. Also, I generally try and not use to many colours. This isn't by any means something I strictly follow, but I think that too much colour can also make things look messy. That's all i can think of for now hope that helps

it's a teriffic sig Shan! I think a cool filter for this would have been a colored pencil filter, just as an experiment. 9/10

Thanks guys And Matt, thanks for your pointers. While doing this sig, I was mainly concentrating on the white horse and wanted that to stand out that I actually forgot about the other horses and how they were looking. Something I have done since reading your post and thinking about it is sometimes I even add the render later on in the sig rather than at the beginning. Like the Stargate sig I made. I did the background and then added the picture of Daniel and Abados. And then with the picture of Abados, I did effects on that. I also did effects on the background with Daniel there, but I made sure that I kept him clear of effects to not to distort him. So, yeah. Thanks so much! And I will remember that for sure in the future ~ Shan

I think the Stargate sig turned out great too, Shan. I thought it was very original and clean looking i'd love to see you do more sigs like that
