Favicons are nifty 16x16 icons that appear next to the sites url in the browser and in your bookmarks. It works in Firefox, but not in I.E (v6) unfortunately. You can also drag and drop the icons of your favourite sites onto your browser  this link goes between the <head> tags of a web page, or in the blog/forum header. Thanks, Nya and Smangii ;D I downloaded I.e 7 Beta last week and it looks like Interent Explorer users will be able to use favicons again. They need to be saved as .icos though, whereas in firefox you can save them as gif's and pngs. I like the snail too. i even made a t-shirt with the snail ;D |

Ah cool about the IE Beta 7 I have yet to download it for one my IE is a bit funky so I think I will wait for the full version to come out to upgrade to it.

My I.E doesn't perform that great either. I had to uninstall the beta version it after about a day. Funny think is though, the favicons seem to work in I.E 6 now ;d don't know why that is, but i'm not complaining ;D

Yeah my IE seemed to have gotten worse after I downloaded FF which I got because IE was messing up.

i used to use IE, then i went to FF, then now FF is screwing up, so I switched to Opera a few days ago. SO far no problems. I heard that IE 7 has tab browsing, is it true? I absolutely LOVE tab browsing...that's why i liked FF at first. Now it doesn't work for gfx, so i switched to Opera (which has tab browsing too).
Btw, M@ that t-shirt is the CUTEST!!!

I hear its going to come as standard with Vista, and from what ive heard Vista is going to be great i use, Enigma and FF, FF mostly for user scripts and stuff like that and for some sites which dont work in Enigma, but i use Enigma for everything else  Matt those Favicons are great definately downloading them |

Yup, i got this trial version for Vista b/c my dad works with this computer company and gets all the free downloaded trial version from his job, ...OMG IT WAS THE COOLEST!! So 3D looking and EVERYTHING! The windows even minimize on your desktop, and jus FLOAT there...it's sooo cool!! I can't wait 'till it comes out...i think it's supposed to be sometime this year ^.^

Photobucket doesn't support ico. files, unfortunately. ripway.com supports them though. Also it might take a while for the favicon to work properly, they can be a bit temperamental. |
