I made this banner for my Christian forum about 4 months ago. It was pretty much the first graphic i designed. I originally made it in Paint and a basic photo editor that came with the computer. The background is actually a coptic manuscript of the Gospel of John. I have since redone the text in Photoshop.

I love it! I don't remember seeing this one on your Dunamis forum... is it there? Great job with the coptic background!

Thanks Michael . I don't have it up at my old forum anymore, and took it down shortly after I started Overcomers with Shan.

Ah, I see now. That is neat. I have a question... you mentioned that you made the banner using paint at first... how is it that you had it done like that? It looks to superb to be anything from Paint!

That's because Matt is a genius when it comes to Paint lol He is so incredible and can do some pretty amazing things in that program! I'm still amazed at all he can do!!

I'm not a genius You can draw pretty much anything you want in Paint. i don't have my saves for my Dunamis banner anymore but i do have same saves I made when I was creating the video screen graphic for overcomers, for which I used basically the same methods. First you draw your picture Then colour it in. Doing pretty much the same thing as you do when making a gradient. And that's it although it did take me a couple of days ;D
