I am a Methodist. I have read part of the bible. But I have a question. You see, I have had horrible problems with friends and right now, my family is going through hell. We have had our social security numbers stolen, and we are having money problems.
But the real problem is, is that of my ex-friends. I have sent I'm sorry letters and was mean and am now currently trying to be as nice as possible. They won't budge, and one of them is a hard core Christian. Am I doing something wrong? I have asked God to forgive me of my sins and I have asked for forgivness. Am I doing something wrong here?
Sometimes, it all feels like there is no God [when I do believe there is]. I feel like all of my praying goes to waste and I just want to curl up in a corner and die. All help would be appreciated.

You are doing exactly the right thing. Trust and believe, and soon enough maybe not right now, god will forgive you. I know it. And just pray until your friends come back. And if they don't, try making new ones. I always feel terrible like this but you know what? I have gotten used to it and I have learned that if things like that happen, they will get better sooner or later. Hang in their pixyy. I will pray for you. Just do the best you can.

Hi pixxy, I'm sorry that you've had to go through all that you and your family are going through. I know it really has to stink.
You did the right thing by sending letters to your ex-friends and apologizing. I don't know what all went on in ya'll's relationship but relationships are hard to heal. You have to give things like this time so until they finally forgive you for whatever or at least come to terms with you, then you'll have to wait it out and pray that God will open their eyes and let them see that you want your friendships back.
Sometimes, I feel the same exact way but really, God is there. In his word, he says that he is with you even until the ends of the earth. If you went to the heavens, he'd be there. To hell, he'd be there. To bottom of the ocean, he is there. God's presence is everywhere and sometimes we can't feel it. When that happens to me I pray. Something you could pray could be, "God, right now I'm having a really hard time. I know that your word teaches me that you are here with me but I feel alone and that everything I am doing is going to waste. Let me know that you are with me this very moment and let me feel your presence. Comfort me, please. In your name, Amen."
I hope that helps, Pixxy. ;] If you need anymore help let me know.

Oh, wow. Ya'll are going to bring me to tears. I love your responses and will keep praying. A little off topic, but the funny thing about the man who stole our computer, he comes from a Christian based company. I found that ironic.
Anyway, bless you for understanding!

God able to give people sin the bible clear on that it says somewhere how many times should I forgive me brothers they ask Jesus and he replayed seventy time seven, but David had a lot or problems in psalms 143 v 1 (O LORD, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy; in your faithfulness and righteousness come to my relief.) Just like Michael said God is very where as in psalms 139 v 1 (O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.) Psalms 51 v 10 (Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.) David bad thing when this wrote but faith was strong in God that God restored David back his thorn. I have this and hope all these help you out. I found when I looking something else for a friend of mine the rest too long to place there so there the link to that God bless foxy

Pixyy, It seems that you need better friends. God will help you, but because of man's free will, there isn't very much you can do.

I just have to say that, contrary to popular belief, Christians are humans as well. We do things wrong. We mess up. We hurt people. In reality, we are no worse than non-Christians. The only difference is the fact that we have hope and forgiveness. Of course, not everyone taps into that, so, even though they may be a Christian, they can still make a wrong choice. Not one of us has it all together and I truly wish that people could see that and know that we aren't trying to be all holier-than-thou.
I recently went through something similar and I had to trust that God knew what he was doing. I really encourage you to do the same. Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the LORD. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'"
But this verse also holds true: Exodus 33:19b "And the LORD said, 'I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.'" So we simply need to trust that He has full control.
I hope that I was of some encouragement.

I agree with Benji.[And also Ifrit]
I don't remember exactly where in the Bible, but there was the story of he man that was being stoned to death. [Don't even remember the man...o.O] Jesus came up to the people and said "If any of you have not commited a sin, then throw a stone. I will not, for I have commited sin."
Hope that helps in the humanity thing, otherwise, keep praying. As for your friends, just please don't grovel at them or anything, unless it was bad what happened, then they may just be bad friends and want you to beg them...and that's never a good thing. ;] Hope that helps!
Many loves and God Bless ~Sparky
