This thread is for everyone to share bible verses with one another. I read this earlier today, and it reminded me that God has given us all we need to help us live as Christians, and protect ourselves from spiritual attacks. Finally, build up your strength in union with the Lord and by means of his mighty power. Put on all the armour that God gives you, so that you will be able to stand up against the Devil's evil tricks. For we are not fighting against human beings but against the wicked spiritual forces in the heavenly world, the rulers, authorities, and cosmic powers of this dark age. So put on God's armour now! Then when the evil day comes, you will be able to resist the enemies attacks; and after fighting to the end, you will still hold your ground. So stand ready, with truth as a belt of tight around your waist, with righteousness as your breastplate, and as your shoes the readiness to announce the Good News of peace. At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the Evil One. And accept salvation as a helmet, and the word of God as the sword which the Spirit gives you. Do all this in prayer, asking for God's help. Pray on every occasion, as the Spirit leads. For this reason keep alert and never give up; pray always for all God's people. And pray also for me, that God will give me a message when I am ready to speak, so that I may speak boldly and make known the gospel's secret. For the sake of this gospel I am an ambassador, though now I am in prison. Pray that I may be bold in speaking about the gospel as I should. Ephesians 6:10- 20 (GNB) I find it pretty difficult to trust God. i'm prone to quite severe anxiety and depression and I'm focusing on my problems alot of the time rather than the promises and love of God. But I believe that he is daily transforming me and helping me in my weaknesses, and over the past month or so, I have experienced a change and a new strength. Thing is , whenever I tell others how God is transforming me, it is then that I find myself under spiritual attack, which makes me reluctant to speak about what God is truely doing in my life, in case I lose it. I pray that I can recognise these spiritual attacks for what they are, and not let it stop me speaking out and growing as a Christian.

I can see it every time I talk to you. God really is doing a work in your life. And I know it isn't easy and I guess it is like when you start to give something over or God helps you in one way, then you get tempted to go back to the way you were, 'cause things get tough. But, I think that passage of scripture there (Eph 6) is a great passage for you! Every morning, deliberately think of putting on each piece of armor before you start your day. Really see yourself as having truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation and the word of God in your heart. And just always have an attitude of prayer throughout the day. I know that God will help you to stand firm in your walk with him. And as you know, I am always here to be your friend and encourage you and care for you. The verses I read this morning are from Psalm 19:13,14 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

So get rid of the old self that was being destroyed by it's deceitful desires. Your hearts and minds must be made completely new, and you must put on the new self, which is created in God's likeness and reveals itself in the true life that is upright and holy. (Ephesians 4:22-24 gnb)

In his life on earth Jesus made his prayers and requests with load cries and tears to God, who could save him from death. Because he was humble and devoted, God heard him. But even though he was God's Son, he learnt through his sufferings to be obedient. (Hebrews 5:7-8 GNB)

Hello there, I'm Twilight as you may very well know by seeing my Display name.
I've mainly just been a window watcher towards this sight, but decided to join.
Now to say on topic here, I've aadmire the Famous John 3:16, though saddly most know it by only that and not of the words in it.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
I'm apart of a Christian School and we pray a good bit. Though I have Spirital Attack quite often. The"What if.." is always entering my head, but I struggle alot to try and drown it out. Yet.. ther fear of what's to come after Death is always there in me and I fear it shalln't ever leave or find spiritual peace until it comes.

Hi there Twilight. Yeah, spiritual attacks are pretty frequent for me too and I often take my eyes of God because of them, but he always brings me back. It's part of learning to trust him, and it strengthens our faith. I know that Jesus has saved me, and although I have doubts, God has given me so much, and hasreally made some big changes in my life. I always have that as an assurance that he is there and stuff.

Yes, that to is one of the only drives that keep me going and the school that I attend as well. There faith within God and Jesus Chirst is another motive to keep faith.

wow, im lovin thsi community, some really great verses have been posted so far! Heres one of my favorites right now: 1 Timothy 4:12 "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity." Another good one... Colossians 3:17 "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him!" Both NIV versions

the solid foundation that God has laid cannot be shaken; and on it are written these words: "The Lord knows those who are his" and "Whoever says he belongs to the Lord must turn away from wrongdoing." In a large house there are dishes and bowls of all kinds; some are made of silver and gold, others other wood and clay; some are for special occasions, others for ordinary use. If anyone makes himself clean from all those evil things, he will be used for special purposes, because he is dedicated and useful to his master, ready to be used for every good deed. Avoid the passions of youth, and strive for righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who with a pure heart cal out to the Lord for help.
I'm pretty much unable to live as a good Christian at the moment. sigh. I'm letting all my problems get the better of me, and I'm not taking them to God the way I know I should. I guess Things just don't ever seem to get better, and the same old problems keep reoccurring and stuff, so it makes me lose faith, and I stop going to God and believing that he is ever-willing to help me. This passage particularly spoke to me today. I really want to be a good servant and do the will of God and be used by him, but I keep letting my circumstances get the better of me, and I start to reject God and fall into sin.
This is a prayer request to if anyone here should read it. Please pray for me, that I'll completely turn away from wrongdoing, and resist the various temptations that come my way. And please pray that I can have a softer heart to all the members of this forum , and those who are in need of graphics. I let things get to me sometimes and i feel that the attitude of my heart just isn't right to wards you all.
