Yeah. I agree there. I have always thought of my beliefs being more of a relationship with God than with being religious. This is what I was trying to say in my last post about religion and faith

Thank you so much, Dj. That poem is so right.
And also, you hit what I've been struggling with. I am not denouncing my faith. I still totally believe in God and in Jesus' saving grace and that he loves me and has forgiven me of my sins. I am just so uncertain about all the things associated with the church and the "religious" side of it all. I really don't know if this western version of Christianity is right and a lot of it just is unsettling to me. But, I do love God and am so thankful he has forgiven me and that is what is important.
Thank you so much for your post.

Shanny, let me give you the link to a church whose doctrine is dead on. no twisting of the Scriptures, amplifying the faith and so forth. It is old school, bred in the Bible and straight from the Father Bible believing unalterated. The "all of a sudden new and improved bells and whistles" are not the core of the church. The Spirit of the Lord is prevalent and the church has been on the same path for over a hundred years. and yes, we have fun too!!! LOL Here is the link: www.cmalliance.org/whoweare/whoweare.jspThis is the link to my church: www.acac.net/about_welcome.htmlYou can get our Sunday services online and they even have them archived. I hope this helps

Wow, DJ, your posts were wonderful. ^^ I thank you especially for the first link you posted because a few people I know ask what exactly it is I believe, and I tell them everything I know, but I know that there are things I leave out, unintentionally. Now I know, and I will print it out. Thanks.

Thanks Michael. One thing I may suggest is on my website I have a Doctrinal statement. I will add the link at the end of this post. A doctirnal statement is pretty profound when stating what we believe, because every single thing is backed up by Scripture and the Scripture references are given in the actual statement. This is not to say that everyone here must believe that or that you are dying and goin to hell if you believe otherwise or even that you must believe the doctrinal statement to be a member here. All this link is for, is to reference what I believe and why I believe it and where in Scripture you can find why I believe what the statement says. I may disagree with what someone else may believe and I will respect that. But this is just to simply show everyone where I stand and why and how to reference that. Here is the link: www.geocities.com/christs_crusaders/statements-of-faith.htmlJust to save my brain when making the site, I also put our disclaimer, mission statement and our challenge in there. Scroll down to the next section to see the doctrinal statement. If anyone is a Christian website owner or could use the doctrinal statement in any way, feel free to contact me at the email address found within the link I have posted above.

... eh... I'll never give up my faith... I've always felt that churches were the center of persecution, and I think I was right. People all around me stayed away from me, even though I am normal. Welcoming others is really a rarity, and I have no friends in church, almost no friends, and in school (see my username wraith? Wraith means ghost, and ghosts tend to be invisible... and that's what I am... Yes, it sounds Satanic, but it's true). However, I'm not easily going to give up faith. After all, Christianity teaches about love, and to improve relationships, and many good things that are bound to happen. I mean, I am depressed nowadays because nothing seems to be working right for me. I'm very clumsy and unskilled in many things, and I always tend to get jealous of others. However, I still believe in God. God has pulled me through in many difficult situations, and eventually, things turned out okay. Yes, when a loved one dies, many people just immediately lose faith. If something bad like that happened, I would not lose my faith at all. Why? Because I know that the person was a good Christian, and since he or she was, they are in heaven now, because God has called them to be by their side. Why lose faith? That's just useless. In heaven, the person is much happier up there than they would ever be down here on Earth. God has called them to enjoy themselves in heaven, and if you lose faith, you would never be able to see your loved one again. And just to tell you, I really hate this world. Families fight. People steal. People hurt each other. People murder. Church people are evil. Too much corruption goes on every single minute, and what I want is to get out of this world ASAP. It disgusts me. However, I will never lose my faith. Even if my foundation is a little shaky, I will still trust in God. My advice: Don't lost it. I know it's hard, but try to regain it. And if you want to know whose point of view this is, it's an average troubled teenager with a GPA of 88.9 in his/her report card with a mind of a little child's (I was the most happiest when I was little... now I think life sucks!). I'm also Presbyterian... if that means anything at all...

whoa, some effort put into that! how daft, smatterings of truth mixed in with an awful lot of pretentious rubbish this person is no better than scary religious zelots who shove it in your face, whats he trying to do? offer some comfort? 'your god doesn't exist - heres the proof' no self respecting chistian would be like 'gosh! you're right' so i ask myself ...whats the point??

I would give anything to stand in Heaven during judgement day and see this guy get his. I would give anything to be able to see that. Did you even see his rationality? he is like a 10 year old child. Even hypocrites know better than to take his examples for truth. What a loser.
