Hm.. I think I have a few.. but I think that my favorite is:
Isaiah 40:28-31 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
These verses are so, so amazingly encouraging to me because I know who I can go to in my time of crisis. I suppose because I am a teenager I have to have some kind of drama in my life [wink] and every time there is... Every time I grow so thin with my job at Wendy's... every time I need help getting my priorities going... Every single time that I call on him for even smallest thing... He is there. Whenever I am at my lowest I can look up to God and he lifts me up. My burdens are lifted, my stress relieved. Whenever I am weak, he strengthens me. No matter what things I have coming at me, no matter how much I trevail... he is there. And what is more is that he is everlasting. He love is everlasting and.... it just encourages me to know that I follow a God who loves me and would do anything for me. That my Lord is there when I call and even when I don't call he is already by my side. I am constantly reminded of this, especially lately with the end of school coming, my job going hectic, and my life.... in circles. He's just so amazing to me and this verse just reminds me of how good, how wonderful my God is and ... I'm encouraged to go on. :]

And who cares if you're random! ;] Ask as you wish! ^^ That's how I learn and a lot of times... I ask off the wall questions at the oddest times so... hey, you're good. ;]

does it say LORD in capital letters or have you just done that?? LORD replaces the Hebrew letters YHWH known as the Tetragrammaton, that is only found in the Old Testament. In most Bibles it's rendered this way. In the Jehovah's Witness New World Translation it is translated as Jehovah. I'll post some Bible quotes later Edit:“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Corinthians 13:13) I like this verse because it puts love above all other religious practices. Read the passage in context. “You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Galatians 3:26-28) Anything that removes the boundaries that exist between different people (regardless of race, sex, religion, etc) sounds good to me. I guess this is worth thinking about in relation to the previous verse about the supremacy of love. The idea of equality between the sexes is also pretty enlightened for it's time, especially in a Jewish patriarchal context, although it's kind of ironic that we are still all sons of god, and not sons and daughters ;D I really like Psalm 145. I posted something about it a while ago.

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:5-9
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10
What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Destruction and misery are in their ways:
And the way of peace have they not known:
There is no fear of God before their eyes. Romans 3:9-18
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:24-39The reason these verses on predestination are among my favorites, Michael, is because they show me not only do I do bad things, but I AM BAD!!! But in spite of that, God decided to bestow His grace upon my from the foundation of the world. Because He knew that I alone could not save myself. As it says in Romans,”For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” and “there is none that is righteous, no not one.” So you see? These verse bring much joy to me because I know that God has predestined me to salvation and has allowed the Holy Ghost to open my eyes.

I have no bible. A very sad thing is (and I do feel sorrow for this ) I have not read a bible yet passage from a bible in my life. I am sorry and have apologized to god many times for ignoring him and the testament. Right now a feel like a loner not knowing anything in this thread or even this Christian board. I hope to do all that I just said in the future, hopefully the near future.
