I'm thinking about reading the book. Frank Peretti seems to be a very intriguing author, and although I have yet to read any of his works, I'm planning on reading quite a few of them in the near future.

0.o You have not read any of Frank Peretti's books?! [incredulous] OMGoodness! What are you doing on the computer then?! GO! READ THEM!!!
lol. jk. ;] They're awesome. I suggest reading This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness as first reads. They are... CAPTIVATING.
Yes, I read the book and watched the dvd. I didn't like the dvd though because it was different from the book. And I didn't like how they inserted the part about Elisha and that kid walking by the river and such. That didn't happen in the book and I think it could've been done better without them looking stupid. ^^

I haven't read any of his books either, but like Lupo I plan on it. I saw the DVD for this at the Christian bookstore, it looks interesting....But I think I'll read the book before I see it.

But I agree with you Michael I don't remember reading that as well.

We watched the Hangman's Curse a couple of months ago, although I've not read any Frank Peretti books, either. I thought the storyline was cool, although the movie was a bit cheesy in places. I Have a feeling that the book was probably better.

Haha, yes, it was SO much better. I bet one of the cheesy parts was when Frank Peretti [who was playing Algernon or something like that] was talking and acting all weird and everything. It got annoying. lol. But yeah, the book is like... 100 xs better.

Yeah, Peretti does something called the Wild & Wacky World of Frank Peretti or something like that. He comes up with these stories that teach young kids virtues and such and he acts the same way in the cds, cassette tapes, and movies that he did on the HC dvd. >.<

The Hangman's Curse is probably one of my fave movies in the world! I also loved The Visitation. Both are different from the book, but hey, all movie companies change books. I thought it was a pretty good rendition of the book, although the romanticy parts between Elisha and Blake were a little...uh...uncalled for without being inappropriate.

I read part of The Visitation. I must say it's not my favorite of Frank Peretti's books.

Well, it isn't the scariest one for sure, but I enjoyed it.

Yeah, I agree. The V. is not one of my favs but it was still great, I think. It wasn't really that scary... more... creepy, like, Ew, that's creepy. You know?
