If you wouldn't mind too much, would you please write a tut on how to install graphic programs like photoshop and PSP in the proper way? I can't figure it out very easily and don't want all graphic types to be opened by some of these huge programs. I want to use the program I want to open to open it rather than let software dictate to me. I am sure that others have had the same problems too.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to do that...at least not in the foreseeable future. To do it, I'd have to reinstall them again, and they came pre-installed on my laptop ( the CDs are buried in my basement somewhere). When I got my laptop, I just went in to PSP and PS and changed all the file association preferences. The only thing I can recommend is to always choose "Custom" installation. At some point, you should be asked what files you want associated with the program. If you aren't, you should get prompted to choose them the first time you launch the program...at least, that's what I remember from the last time I had to install them. Sorry, Bethany, but that's the best I can offer right now.

Well it looks like I am not able to reformat after all. There is a program that comes up before windows and I never see the boot from cd screen at all. I went to a forum where I have gotten help from before and some guy told me to go into my bios . . . Wait! I will copy/paste it here for you.
Then I said
He said
Me: Never mind all that I don't understand a word of what you are telling me to do. I need to find that progranm and uninstall it so that my pc looks more like I got used to. You are telling me to do geek things and ever since the worm cleaner guy was mucking about in my computer nothing is the same. That page defrag I can't find with a manual search, the wizard guy can't find it, the dog can't find it, It is not in add/delete programs. The page you just sent me to is way over my head.
Him: Well, we are Major Geeks, after all. I agree though, if you don't know what a BIOS is, you should leave the fixing to others.
