Hey everyone, okay, i am officially the member who has been absent for months & i see an awful lot of new faces. Considering the introductions thread is 12 pages long i thought i'd start this as a kind of 'gettin to know you' thread if you have pictures of yourself, please post em so i can put a face to the rather obscure handles ... Okay, i'll start, (the people who already know me will already know everything i'm going to write so i apologise for repeating myself) my names Zara Gwen & i live in Stratford in the Midlands (UK) i enjoy drawing, writing & all sorts of digital design. I work at shakespeares birthplace & do freelance web design on the side but am currently on maternity leave from everything; my daughter Mischa-Rose constantly smells like baby powder, is currently the centre of my universe & seems to be growing at an alarming rate, i have a fat black cat & a fondness of eating tons of raw carrots. my lucky number is 28 and my fave colour is black, i am a Wiccan & have been since i was 16, i was previously a lapsed Roman Catholic. My confirmation name (which i choose to keep despite my lack of faith cause i love it) is Scholastica *hehe* I am a Shakespeare fanatic but also love Dante & William Blake. My fave artists are John William Waterhouse & Tamara Lempicka I have a mortal terror of spiders but fear very little else; everything in my wardrobe is either cotton, lace or velvet. I have never worn a pair of trainers. My music taste is vast to say the least but my fave band is a german group called Rammstein. I can speak partial french & german but nothing fluently my dream home is a quaint english cottage & my fave word is Sonambulist here is the last recent picture of me (where i don't look noticably pregnant *yay*) & was taken at Beltane last year *gasp gasp* okay, someone else go...

For the new members, as well as the old who don't know me so much... My name is Michael and I'm 16. I live in Florida, which is freezing at the moment. I am currently trying to get a job at a closeby seafood restaraunt. I absolutely love any kind of art. If it is considered an art... I'll try it! Sculpting, painting, drawing, computer designs, graphics, whatever. I love it! lol... I also enjoy writing, singing, playing piano and trumpet. Other than art, music is my life! Some of my favorite bands are Falling Up, Pillar, Relient K, Jonah33, and Casting Crowns just to name a few. As a Christian, I would like to say that God is my number one but as humans, we often allow ourselves to be. But I'd like to get to the place where He can be my number one. I love to read, get online, and play sports. But NOT organized sports... lol, I don't even know if that's a word. But sports where you have to go through the school system and junk. My school isn't where I'd like to play if I did. I mainly like to play basketball and baseball outside.I'm very energetic. I'm also extremely crazy and creative. My imagination can go wild and I'm a visual person. If I think about something, I can literally picture it in my mind. I'm good with numbers, memorizing numbers, remembering them. Whatever. I love math. I love the challenges of it and obtaining knowledge. My mind is always on the move. You can say that I'm a 'dormant' ADD kid. On the outside anyways. I am very calm, solemn but I can change in a minute. A drama king, I am, but I will not claim it later. My friends call me a metrosexual because of how enthusiastic I can be about whatever. I can be very, um, 'expression-ful' and I talk a lot. lol... My latest picture of me (as of... 10 minutes ago anyways...):

Hey Gwen! Nice to finally meet you. I've heard the others talk about you before (and it was all really nice stuff)! lol ;D My name is Ellie. I live in Hawaii. When I am not online or trying to figure out PSP I am reading. I read anything and everything, but I'm a complete fool for romance novels (terrible weakness!). I'm also learning to make jewelry, which is fun but really too expensive for me to take up seriously. I was attending university and majoring in social work until my social phobias made that impossible (kind of ironic, huh?), so right now I'm just working part time and trying not to get too lazy. I am married, but we have no children. I love all animals, especially cats, but I'm terrified of spiders and roaches, which is unfortunate considering they are both plentiful in Hawaii. I plan on leaving Hawaii the second my husband graduates. I love the color pink, but I never wear it, my favorite number is 34, and I absolutely love Mondays. I am very, very shy IRL, but I adore almost everyone I meet. My favorite sport to watch is hockey, but I like to actually play volleyball and basketball. My taste in music is eclectic. I hate peas, but I love brussell sprouts. Oh, and I really hate having my picture taken, so I didn't have much to choose from.

Just call me Old Yeller. Have you seen that movie? It's a very old Disney film. But the story itself is timeless. If you haven't seen it, ask your parents to rent it for you but be warned that Old Yeller dies in it. I cry my fool off everytime I see it.

I just figured I'd introduce myself... You're all so lucky to be in the UK!! So much culture and history... I'd find some old library and never come out... (and Hawaii must be exotic and lovely as well!)
... my name's Elizabeth, (well, my birth-certificate says "Mary Elizabeth" as my whole first name, something I choose to ignore...)
I live in New York, USA, am a student and free-lance writer...
I positively worship rock music, am a "lapsed roman catholic/wiccan" (became so by very odd means) and.. I like green...? (Not sure what else to put...)

Hi Elizabeth and welcome to the forum. I am an American too in Colorado where it is just beginning to snow. Michael is from Florida and Ellie from Hawaii and Shanny is Canadian. I think that we have members from Asia as well. So this is an international forum. I think that you are going to like it here. Many of us have become a close knit group and we welcome others to join into our family. If you get confused because you don't understand what we are talking about, do not hesitate ask us to explain. Occassionaly you will see us answer a question here that was asked somewhere else on the internet because sometimes it is just best to come to answer it.
And since you are a writer I would like to tell you about a couple of games in the games forum. Ifrit is trying to get us to write a poem. And there is the one word story floating around in there as well. We would really like to see some of your writing too. I think that I will go check on that poem now that I am thinking about it.

Meh, what the heck... My name's Rich, and I'm older than most of you; younger than a few. Spent 20 years working with computers as an IT manager, and gave it all up because I got tired of being on-call 24x7x365. Now I own my own business. w00t! I got married when I was 19, and got divorced 19 years later ( the Ex preferred her Dukes of Hazzard girlfriend...kinda hard to compete with that. lol). No kids, but have seen lots of pets come and go. To me, they're my kids. My current "child" is named Grace. I fiddle with the guitar, although do not have one at the moment. Fave songs I enjoyed playing were: Dust in the Wind by Kansas; Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul, and Mary; and American Pie by Don McLean. Used to listen to all kinds of rock ranging from Def Leppard to Queen to Metallica to MegaDeath. Nowadays, it's Contemporary Christian music and/or Classical. In my spare time I teach people how to become healthier using natural products; assist in the rescue / transportation of lost / abandoned / abused animals; and am training my dog to become a Therapy dog. While I still spend too much time online, my time is actually dwindling because my business is taking up more and more of my time...which is a good thing. Really. lol Hmmm...oh yeah...I also putz around with Photoshop CS, and try to change my style every few months as I learn new things. I'm not the greatest at it, but it's a nice way to relax when you've had a tough day. I'm also heavily into Sci-Fi and Fantasy related stuff, although not as much as I was 15-25 years ago. I guess that's about it for now. So, that's me in a nutshell. Oh, and for those that are interested, me and Grace:

Ew, I would hate working 24/7 365 days a year. That'd totally suck. I'm glad that your business is going great! Wish I had my own but I bet it's a lot of work. yup yup... but maybe not. I dunno because I don't have one. lol... And I love your dog! She reminds me of my last dog, Kaydie. She was a boxer so she was obviously bigger and she was all brown... but there is some unknown resemblence I find between the two. lol...

Word association? You mean where someone says a word and another posts what they think of when they read the word? I think we do... but I can't remember. lol...
