I would like to start my own site. an rpg one to be precise. But I'll be using a theme from a video game. I noticed on others similar to it that they have permission from copyright laws that allow them to use pics and other information if they so chose. Is it really nessary and if it is how do i get permission?

Go to the creators of the pics, and ask to use them. Thats what I am guessing. But that is a good idea.

Yes, it is necassary. If one of the creators were to see their images used without their permission, they consider it as stolen. But yes, talk to the creators of the images and ask them.

Ok then...and what if your making them on your own? for example I'm using a GBA emulator to create Gifs for my site. You think the game industry would mind ^^

I don't think you'd get in trouble for that one, though to be sure, I'd be certain that something somewhere points to where you go the gfx, even if you made them. But because it was through an emulator, you may want to state that somewhere. Perhaps at the bottom of the site.

Hmmm...good point *nod nod* *sighs...neh I hadn't realised how complicated it is to make a site As far as creating theme, text, rules and ruling I have no problem but without a good site layout.....
