We come from everywhere around the planet and often have preconcieved ideas of what a place is like. When I say that I am in Colorado, some of you will automatically think that I am on a mountain somewhere but actually I live on the NE plains. There is a lot of agriculture around here. Primary crops include but are not limited to sugar beets, maize, wheat, and corn. We are also in cattle country which also means horses. There are lots of small rodeos around but there is a huge major rodea for 10 days -2 weeks in late June ending with the 4th of July celebration which includes a huge parade with marching bands coming from places all over the country.
A nearby field in late spring/early summer
We have great clouds in CO and my friend took this pic with the clouds reflected in the pond.
I see this guy (a muskrat) at the park I often go to when I need to pray and meditate surrounded by nature.
He lives here>>>
The mountains are to the west.
These are all from downtown Greeley.
The Police Station is on the left and the downtown library is on the right end of this building.
The courthouse Outside a Mexican food place. In the summertime, there are Friday noon concerts on the plaza and lots of little food booths so you can get almost any kind of food you want.
These are two more parks that I go to.
This college is only a block away. They have outdoor concerts in the evenings several times during the summer. There is a great music program there so I sometimes go to recitals as well.
. .
In the fall, the aspen trees turn to gold.
We have permanent flocks that live here and you often see them fly. This flock may be migrating though.
Fall and winter are great times here. I love the way snow looks so pretty on everything. This is how it looks now.
