Yeah, my little brother went to Florida, and I'm really short of friends. And then I just opened up Microsoft Word and started writing a story... and I got carried away... (I'm up to page 51... ACK!). I can post some parts of the story later... but I need help on it, such as fixing up dialogues of characters and descriptions... and removing all those cliches. It's called Rainfall (weird name... I dunno why I called it this), and the main characters are a girl named Rain and her older brother named Fall. They're both orphans raised by a Catholic priest. The setting... I think somewhere around the 1100s in an imaginary town in Europe called Solati, in present-day France. There is magic, demons, and elements of Christianity involved in it... and this is what I did when I got bored... so wish me luck... heh heh

Cast of Characters (so far...)
Protagonists
Rain Female Age: 13 Rain is an orphan who does not remember her parents at all. One day, she finds out she has magical powers, and from that moment, her life changes. Her personality is sweet and innocuous and has faith in God.
Fall (I know... weird names...) Male Age: 15 Fall is Rain's older brother, but unlike Rain, he does remember how his parents were like. He is gruff, tough, and looks mean, but deep in his heart, he loves Rain more than anyone else in this world. His personality is the opposite's of Rain's, therefore, he's the symbol of doubt; he is unsure of God's existence. Fall is a skilled hunter and archer.
Antagonists
Master Whoever he is, he leads an entire army of demons, and thinks that Rain's newfound powers to be a threat. He sends his three henchmen to capture her.
Mammon Mammon, of course, is a demon (the name?). He is assigned to take over the Archbishop of Milan's body.
Rot and Vile These two are the incompetent demon henchmen of their master. They are jealous of Mammon's capabilities of pleasing the Master. These two serve as comic reliefs in the story (cliche... eh?). Later on, Rot takes over Jim the thief's body while Vile takes over the blacksmith's body. NOTE: Vile's original name was Decay, but someone told me the names sounded too similar, so I had to change it.
More soon!
Minor Characters:
Father Billy Wheat Yeah, I named him after the evangelist Billy Graham. He's the father figure, a religious man, and takes care of orphans, including Rain and Fall.
The Orphans Rain and Fall grew up with eight other orphans. They are significantly younger than them (they're around 6-8 years old).
Jim the Thief He's a kid who just can't support his economically unstable life, so he steals off people at the middle of the night. Later on, Jim has a change of heart and stops stealing. He is so quick that Rot calls him Speedy Gonzalez...
Jenny Fall's love interest in town. Does not play much of a role in this story.
The Blacksmith This man is Jenny's father. Unfortunately for Fall, he does not like any random boy to dance with his daughter, or even talk to her. He is very strong and skilled at handling maces.
The Archbishop of Milan He was supposed to visit Solati, until Mammon took over his body...
More soon!

Thanks guys! It's a little hard to continue the story from where I am now, but I'm enjoying it.
