I've been working on this story slowly and its so far coming out good.. what do ya'll think>? I also used it as a rp in a couple places and well, to see how it all turned out to keep writing my original.
Revenge is my quest, Nothing shall stand in my way.
Staring o'er the mountains from a window, miles and miles of countless clearings can be seen. The sun is just beginning to rise, and all begin to awaken.
But aye, what is this? A young female, born of royal blood sits upon her windowsill. Tight clothing rests upon her slender body, long blonde hair braided back with a few strands across her face.
Her long pointed ears gathering the sounds in a nearby room, gentle tears from strangely colored ice blue eyes’ slip down her face.
The voices never ceased, all the words she never wanted to hear were spoken," He's dead, was killed during the war. What are we going to do, we have no other heir to the throne, other than her?"
She stared out into her lands as the sun slowly rose. Footsteps were heard heading to her room. She quickly wiped her tears away and still stared out her window. A slight knock was heard on her door, she spoke in a gentle tone and looked at the door," You may enter . . . " A tall man entered the room with a bow. She gave an acknowledging nod toward him. He began to speak of his terrible tragic news.
" I am so sorry my dear, but your brother was killed in the war . . . his body was not discovered" He lowered his head and began to back away slowly from her. Her eyes glistened as more tears flowed down her face," You are sure? Maybe he was just held captive." The man shook his head," We searched everywhere... we cannot find him... All we found was his dagger and his helm. That is all milady." She shook her head and dismissed him. The man left with a shake of his head.
I wonder if father knows. She opened a wardrobe and pushed some clothes aside. It revealed the most durable armor and a very well balanced sword. She removed the armor and placed it upon herself. Sheathing her sword as it gleamed. She left her room with great haste towards her father's room.
When she entered the room many people were gathered in there. Her father sat in a chair and held his head in his hands. She looked at him with sadness," It was a great loss...." He looked up and examined her, he stood up and looked at her with concern," You are not searching for him, I will send parties to go look some more... I want you safe." She looked at him with despair, " Father, I am faster then your men. I will find him, I will find Adrean if its that last thing I do." She ran out of her father's room and headed for the stables. Her father yelled to her as she began to leave," Ayra, please no!" She reached the stables and she saddled up her horse Lylia and bolted out of the stables with great haste, in her hand she held her brother's dagger, she spoke in a whisper," I will find and avenge you my dear brother." She races across the royal lands and stops half way," I am so sorry my dear father." She turned and continued on ward, pushing her steed as fast as it could go.
Back at the kingdom, her father just stares out his window. He calls upon his militia captain ,he enters with a bow then rests his hand upon his sword. Ayra’s father turned to him slowly then cleared his throat,” We must find her, she’s our last and only continuance to the throne, if she dies, no other in this family can take over, hence a new legacy is born. Who knows, this kingdom might fall into the wrong hands and fall apart.” The captain cleared his throat to speak, but only held it back for a moment longer.” Sire, we will not be able to catch her, nor find her. She’s taken the fastest horse there is among all the lands, Lylia, her mothers horse. Us alone will not find her.” Her father’s face turned more pale,” She took Lylia? Clever she is.” His voice drifted and he tapped his chin turning towards the window.”There is one who can catch her in no time. He sworn his allegiance to me for saving his life. Captain, take some men with you.” He hurried over to a small table and wrote what was going on in the language of the dragons.” He will understand this, take it to Murada and find a man named Osteal. He will point you in the right direction to him.” The captain swallowed hard,” Sire are you talking about” HIM”?” the king rose his head from the table where he wrote the scroll and rolled it up,” Yes, he will find her and help her since she’s so dedicated to find and avenge her brother.” The king resided to the window again and stared at the mountains,”He might try to attack you since I haven’t spoken to him in years, just tell him I sent you, he’s a very forgiving creature and kind at that.”The king dismissed his captain with a nod of his head. His captain bowed before he left along with some hesitant words,” As you wish my lord.”
The captain quickly moved to the barracks and gathered his best men and told them the tale of what was to happen, they all took a seldom oath to fulfil their quest and save their next ruler, and the kingdom of Isaire. The captain took his five men and they began to start their journey to the village of Murada to find Osteal. They all traveled on horseback, all their horses were black, and the captains was white. They moved quickly and silently, they only carried their swords and a hunting bow, they need not to carry the weight of food with them, for they would not be gone long, and also they can hunt. They did not wear their heavy armor as usual, only light armor that covered their mid section and leather gloves which protected their gentle elven hands. They rode fast and hard out of the stables, not even looking back once nor stopping, all determined to find their savior.
She knew it was bad for her to take Lylia, but she had no choice. Sooner or later she knew her father would send someone after her to either help her, or take her back home. She looked at her horse who’s hooves pounded the ground fast and hard, but not fast enough. She closed her eyes and started to say something in elvish to get the horse moving faster,” Lle lile morene auro ayye!” and she repeated those words several times. Soon Lylia arched her neck and whinnied, she moved faster and more swift and silent. She paused a moment and repositioned her self as the words of her brother came to mind before he left for war.
She remembers well, the day before her brother left for war to fight for his lands. Ayra tried to talk him out of it but, he wouldn’t listen at all. She tried to hide his armor and weaponry, but he would only find it. She wasn’t playing childish games, for, it wasn’t to long ago when the war had started, maybe it was a month ago, or just a few weeks ago.... who knows she lost track. She remember his words well, ones that are now nothing but old history in a book that was never touched. he said to her before he left,” Don’t worry nor cry, for one day I will be back, untouched and it will seem like nothing happened, and all will be well.” he hugged her one last time and gave her his necklace with a maple leaf with a emerald in the center, and the headed for the stables for his war horse. She cherished his gift since then and still does now. She remembers the look on her fathers face when he left, despicable... he allowed him to leave for war thinking all would be well in good time. Thinking, his son would win the war untouched and he would come back and all would be well. She remembers that day well, and now its time to avenge what was said, and find her brother. Hopefully alive, she’s sworn to herself and her brother the day he left,” if anything happens to you, I will come and avenge you my dear brother.”
The thoughts echoed in her head and soon enough before they could go any further she shook them away. Wiping the tears that started to soon run down her gentle face she started to speak aloud a little,”.................and I will do what I promised my dear brother..... I shall avenge you.” her voice was soft and fading slowly at her last words.
Her father stood by his windowsill and watched his militia leave,” And may Elune light your way my dear brethren.” Only his trust can go with them and his love for his daughter shan’t be eliminated. It has been a rough day so far for all with such great losses... Thoughts echoed his head though they were not his thoughts, but one of another who seemed to access his weary mind, ’Why did you let her leave you incoherent FOOL! First your queen lost to a sickness, now your son either killed and or captured by the dhow. And now this Your out to get your daughter back, your only descendant left to take over the thrown and you let her leave, how despicable... What is wrong with you? Your kingdom will fall... fall deeply and miserably into the wrong hands! You let her leave, Why don’t you go after her you coward!’ The king shook his head and didn’t think twice about what was in his mind, none the less who was in his mind. Breaking the elven code like that, but the question is were they right? And did they have a point and a good excuse to enter his mind like that. “ It had to of been Elaine.” Quickly emerging his room he sent a man to retrieve Elaine.
The man the king sent after Elaine, returned with haste with the woman at his hand. The king sat in his throne and awaited upon their arrival. The man and women both entered the room with a slight bow of the head and a finger on their lips, meaning all spoken here is meant to secretary and only between Elaine and the king. The king dismissed the man with a gesture of his hand and then eyed the woman. “ Did you access my mind?” Elaine looked to the floor and then softly mumbled,”Aye, and I am sorry but those weren’t my words.” The king drew closer to her,” What did you say?” Elaine looked this time into his hard piercing grey eyes and started to tremble with fear, for she may lose her life in this mind game. She spoke louder this time,” Aye sire. But those were not my words I swear upon it. A follower who will go unnamed knew of my whereabouts and knew I was strong with mind magic and can penetrate any mind in the means. And... I accessed your mind so he could say what he wanted through me..... I am sorry sire.” Quickly she dropped to her knees, one as young as her so powerful in magic used then abused. The king turned away,” You then are excused, I am sorry Elaine...I accused you when I had no right. Please forgive me.” He reached his hand out to Elaine and offered her a help up. Elaine looked at his hand desperately and took it, wiping a few tears from her eyes the king pulled her up. “ King of the elves, King of Isaire.... King Erie...... Please forgive what I have done.. It was wrong and against the law, Aye I know, But my life was at stake, and though shall not give ones life for something amiss.” King Erie smiled and nodded his head,” I forgive though.” he dismissed her and let the man escort her back to her home.
In the meantime the militia that left to go retrieve the most fearsome one of all to help Ayra, or bring her home, deciding on his decision. Moving with unearthly speed they traveled hard and fast to the city of Murada . By day break they would reach there... So they believe, anything could stand in their way at any given moment. Dragons, beasts of all sorts.. Aye, anything at anytime. They would be prepared, but know the right timing, Nay. They wouldn’t for all causes they stay alert. They passed beyond the borders of the river and all else that they stood beyond on the kingdom grounds. Growing on the horizon as they gain closer was the Mountains of Isair, almost named after the kingdom itself.
Revenge is my quest, Nothing shall stand in my way.
