Some people say that psp x is not good and from psp 7 to psp 9 is better.
What would you recomend.

Paint Shop Pro used to be owned by Jasc Software*. Then Corel, Jasc's competition, bought out Jasc and put out PSPX. So all versions from 9 down are by Jasc. The only reason why PSPX was put out was supposedly to put out new features and plug-ins. The works. But actually its basically the same as PSP9. The only difference is the looks and the tools have been switched around. And if I remember correctly from my trial versions of PSP9 and PSPX, an effect or two was lost. But don't quote me on that because I don't really remember. I think your best bet would be to go with PSP9 for three reasons: 1) it's cheaper and 2) I had a better experience with PSP9 and 3) you must remember that both versions are basically the same minus the new look and tools in different places and such. BUT. . . There is also another program that you can look into.. P H O T O S H O P . . 0.o Most pro-graphics creators use PhotoShop (PS) because it is supposedly a great deal easier to use, has better effects, and just better everything more than its counterpart, PSP. Honestly, I can't vouch for PS because when I used its trial version for PS Elements and PS CS 2 I had a hard time getting the feel of it as with PSP9 and X (because it's so similar) I had an easier time getting the hang of it. Though! There are a huge amount more tutorials on PS than on PSP and they are a lot more. . nicer, cleaner, sharper, in parts. But yes, I'd choose PSP9, personally. By the way, I only added in the bit about PS because I felt you should know if you didn't already. *Note: I honestly cannot remember if it's Jasc "Software" but I'm leaning very heavily on it. ;D

I seriously think your better off looking for it, reasons -ahem- Michael can't remember, and maybe you can dig some info you desire. But yeah try to get psp, I think it's cheap but pretty expensive at the same time, here in Ny psp runs for like $200 or so, unless it has dropped dunno, havn't checked.

Cool, I am using the psp 7 trial, I can not find the free trial on the psp9 though.
I will try out the ps.
I priced the Psp x and it is 100 dollars, now target has the psp x with 2 others with it. so 3 programs for 150 bucks.

We found the adobe PS 5.0 and 6.0 that DJ has had. We both put them on our pc and I really need to learn this one since I am used to the Psp.
I am gonna search for tutorials since we don't have booklets.

I'd prefer psp9, over X, but I don't think there's much difference, although I'm sure you'll be able to pick up 9 for a cheaper price. Really 8, 9 and X are all reasonably similar. One thing to concider is that a number of loyal Paint Shop Pro users have quit using it, since it was bought by Coral, and the future of PSP is pretty doubtful. Paint Shop Pro works fine for me, but their are many reasons why Photoshop is a better option (apart from the price difference that is). www.pixel2life.com/ is goood for finding tutorials. They have tons of links to Photoshop, and loads of Paint Shop Pro tutorials. PS 6, and 7 are quite old, as is psp7, so their might be some differences when following some of the tutorials.
