It's for an entrance to a site. Typically people put "Click here to enter."

well i guess... that as you write you address ....www.whatever.com.... so a page shows up and this will be the page which give you the options rither you want to enter the site forum or what ever....
i don't know if we can use it in proboard.. to remove everthing and just the Splash and a button or a link to your forum..

i would like to request if anyone can make a Splash for Heartilly2
i would be greatfull, i asked M@hud but he is busy now adays.
my computer is ill and i have to rebuild another one but it takes time.
until then if someone is nice and make a nice Splash For Heartilly2 skin
