Prayer Request...Please

My dear uncle has a very rare kind of cancer, I'm sorry I can't remember the name, I think it is something like nasopharengeal carsonoma? Only about 2,000 people in America have it, and nobody has lived 5 years with it. They've known about it for nearly a year, and apparently he had it for a year already. So that's 2 years right there. He gets awful coughing fits. He has to be fed through a tube in his side and just had a port put in a few days ago. He started chemo only a few days ago. He has to have the chemo for 4 days straight, then he's off for 16 days, then he has to have the chemo for 4 days straight again...

Update on my uncle. He's really sick at the moment, he just got off his first treatment of chemo. He's off for a few days, then he has to go onto chemo once more. After this next treatment, if the cancer isn't gone, they can surgically remove his lymph nodes. If that doesn't help, well then... that's all they can do for him.

Thank you all. It really means a lot to my entire family and friends. He is also on the prayer list at a church or two, and it really seems to help. [gives a bittersweet smile]

Okay so we were talking about my uncle in the car today. He's at advanced stage 3 I believe, and they won't say it's 4 because it would be hopeless... We should know if the cancer is gone soon. If it is he really wants to go back to work, he loves it. This cancer, if gone, will almost always come back. If it comes back it will probably be in the lungs. If not gone they will, as I said, remove his lymph nodes. Otherwise, thats all they can do. Thank you for the prayers, it seems to build hope and strength.
