well, i feel like an idiot but for some reason it started working all of a sudden.
I havent slept in two days and I am not sure, but I think I might have THOUGHT I added a globar header code and actually never did. SO i added it and it seems to be working now. I'll tell ya, I was gettin so mad i thought i was gonna pull a muscle in my brain. My freakin head was ready to explode!!

yup, thats it. Here is a helpful hint for all of you who are trying to use the codes for the Mortal templates:
Make sure you actually paste the code in. no paste = the template coming unglued.

I am looking at the tutorial but its a little unclear. For example there are more than one Main header/Footer and more than one global header/footer. What do i do?

There are 3 areas in which you input coding they are as follows.
These to only effect the Main Page of the Forum. (Most affiliate tables work best in this area, um Category splitters would also go this area.)
Main Header (top input box)
Main Footer (bottom input box)
Global means it effect the main page and all the boards that are on the site. (Codes such as CSS and Forum Resize codes would go in this category)
Global Header (top input box)
Global Footer (bottom input box)
Then you got the area's for each board which are used for board specific codes (such as info boxes targeted to that boards subject Hardly ever used.)
Board Header (top input box)
Board Footer (bottom input box)
